My dragonfly notebook with raw haiku notes about Tuesday's adventures. Good luck with my handwriting.
Background is the the vet bill and some other horse bills and identification papers. Here are the haiku, ordered chronologically and edited a bit. I whistle but the horse doesn't come- blood covers her face Every approaching car is again not the vet's Another emergency call- I dial the phone for the vet while she sutures Once the blood is cleaned up, all the watchers vanish. Sedation wearing off- slowly she blinks, and steals a cookie off the table My unemployment check straight into the hand of the vet After everything is done check written, blood cleaned, horse freed- then I start to shake "How much?" my husband doesn't ask on the phone and I can't tell him I'd like to enter the contest by  with something more "poetic"- but these are really an accurate capture of my Tuesday afternoon. CCT ----------------------------------------------- Thank you to Siragiku-sensei and MoyanII for the gift haiku and translation Haiku Tuesday by ~RedDragonfly 五月雨や句帳の中は青の青 samidare ya kuchou no naka wa ao no ao rain in may- blue on blue in the haiku memo. this one seems a little melancholic. rainy season in may tends to make one feel blue. of course, the dragonfly notebook in the photo has sky-blue pages and has haiku written in blue ink! and, a hurt pet horse certainly add a tint of worry and moodiness to the atmosphere. |

Sirah is feeling better already, she was never as pained as the time when she broke her nose. So I expect despite the damage this was not a kick wound.
She's worth it, it's just stressful.
