from their pocket dimension

crackling with static
fur pointing
in comical directions

overacting overreacting
to hands with lotion

ready for close-ups

on the edge of the stair
then sliding down

step, step...glide
fluid motion...such grace
eye twitch...then up the curtains

cat comes in the bathroom,
drops moth in the tub-
we lie in bed laughing at the ruckus
